The Women’s T20 Challenge 2019 is all set to kick off on May 6 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur with the clash between Trailblazers and Supernovas. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST. This is a second time when the women’s T20 Challenge is being held after last year only two teams played in a one-off match in Mumbai.
This year, team Velocity under the leadership of Mithali Raj has been made to play in a three-team tournament where each side gets to play the two other sides once. The top two teams will take on each other in the final of the tournament scheduled to be played on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
The entire tournament will be played in Jaipur itself. Last year, the one-off match was played in Mumbai.
Just like last year, Supernovas are being led by Harmanpreet Kaur while Trailblazers are being led by Smriti Mandhana.

TRA vs SUP Pitch Report
The Jaipur pitch has produced some good matches in the ongoing IPL 2019. Come to the opening match of the Women’s T2O Challenge, the pitch should be as good as it was during the men’s tournament. Spinners will get some turn from this surface and pacers will also enjoy the bounce.
Supernovas’ Taniya Bhatia, who has international experience, is a good choice of wicket-keeper.
Harmanpreet Kaur is the captain of Supernovas and probably one of the best batswomen in the world in this format. Smriti Mandhana, the counterpart of Kaur, will also have a key role in the batting department of her team. Suzie Bates is an experienced batswoman and has been a veteran of the sport. J Rodrigues has been an impressive batswoman in recent past.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Jhulan Goswami from the Trailblazers are the best choices in this category. L Tahuhu, the New Zealander, has also been impressive with the ball in recent times. P Yadav is a top-class bowler as well.
Natalie Sciver is probably the best all-rounder in the world and it is a no-brainer to have her in the side. Deepti Sharma or S Taylor should be your other pick.
