The way Sunrisers Hyderabad started their run in IPL 2019, it looked like as if no one else would be allowed to touch the winning trophy. But, suddenly they lost three matches in a row, and this led them to slip down at the 6th position on the points table.
Now SRH must avoid their 4th consecutive loss when they face the toughest CSK in their next encounter. This match is scheduled to be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Chennai Super Kings have won 7 matches out of their eight encounters, and with one more win, they will confirm their seat in the playoffs, while Sunrisers Hyderabad has only won three games in their seven meetings.
SRH vs CSK: Preview
It seemed like Sunrisers would easily clinch victory against Delhi Capitals in their previous game until they lost eight wickets in mere 15 runs. Only, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow were able to score runs in double digits.
Sunrisers made multiple changes in their last match with Captain Kane Williamson, Khaleel Ahmed, Abhishek Sharma, and Ricky Bhui in playing 11. But, changes didn’t make any positive impact on the team. SRH must work on their middle order batsmen such as Vijay Shankar or Deepak Hooda. These two players must take some responsibility to release some pressure from top order batsmen.
SRH bowling department seems struggling a bit. Spinner Rashid Khan is good but is failing to get more wickets.
On the other hand, Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings are playing their best cricket. Chennai Super Kings has shown the best bowling performance in the tournament so far. CSK played their last game against KKR, another IPL giant, yet CSK won the match comfortably.
Shardul Thakur threw an exceptional spell and took four wickets for just 18 runs, whereas I Tahir picked two wickets.
When it comes to batting department, Faf du Plessis, Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu and Jadhav are doing well, but Australian batsmen Shane Watson is continuously failing to impress his captain and the owners.
The pitch at Hyderabad changes accordingly. Many high scoring matches have been witnessed here. The pitch sometimes favours the bowlers too. 160+ is a decent score at this ground. No rain interruption on the match day.

Team 1& 2: Middle-order temperament
MS Dhoni and Raina are the most reliable middle order players for CSK. They would definitely add runs for their team. They must be in your fantasy team.
S Shanker and M Nabi have proved themselves good in this tournament so far and lot of expected from them against CSK. They are worth betting on.
Team 3&4: Openers magic
Shane Watson has failed to score runs for his team, but if he comes back in the form then he could be a nightmare for the bowlers. Faf Plessis has played amazing in this tournament so far and must be your pick up.
David Warner and J Bairstow need no written appreciation as they both have helped their team to reach a decent total in most of the matches. Don’t forget to pick them.
Team 5&6: Bowling department
M Nabi has impressed his captain with his bowling skills. He is capable of taking wickets at any pitch, whereas B Kumar is capable of picking openers with his swing and pace.
Tahir and Jadeja have been playing upto Dhoni’s expectations. They are continuously taking wickets in their every match. These two are worth betting on.
