In the 31st match of IPL 2019, two iconic figures of Indian cricket will lock horns against each other. We are talking about Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore and Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians who will be colliding for the second time this season.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore finally get themselves going after an imperious win over Kings XI Punjab in their last game which was played at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. An 8 wickets victory was indeed a big win for RCB who were eluded for a win so far in this season. This victory came after a string of loss which definitely hindered RCB’s confidence.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians are coming into this game after losing their last home game against Rajasthan Royals who before this win had only one victory to their name from 6 instances. It was a confidence booster win for Royals but a distressing loss for the Mumbai Indians.
The last time when RCB and MI had a face-off this season, amidst a controversial ending to the game MI clinched the match by 6 runs on the very last ball. Can MI repeat the show they put in Chinnaswamy last time around, or will RCB after a confidence booster win in their last game make it two in a row? We will get the answers tomorrow.
The Wankhede surface is generally a flat batting deck which helps batsmen score runs freely. The pacers can make good use of the surface in the first 2 or 3 overs.

Choice of Wicketkeeper:
Quinton de Kock has been in a terrific form for Mumbai Indians this season as he has scored the most number of runs. He will be the obvious choice in this facet.
Choice of Batsmen:
From RCB, skipper Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers have been scoring heavy runs for their side. Virat has got 2 fifties so fare, whereas Ab de Villiers has got 3. From MI, the impetus would be on the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard and skipper Rohit Sharma.
Choice of all-rounders:
Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali will be the premier options among the all-rounders from RCB. Both haven’t got ample opportunities so far but are impactful players for sure. MI’s Hardik Pandya is in a dangerous hitting form right now and will be the key figure with both bat and ball this season.
Choice of bowlers:
Bowling has been a worry for RCB this season especially the seamers who have been taken to the cleaners every now and then. Yuzvendra Chahal fighting a lone battle with the ball for RCB with 11 scalps from 7 matches. From Mumbai, the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga and Jason Behrendorff will be the reliable trio. Bumrah is the leading wicket-taker for MI thus far with 8 scalps to his name.
