Kings XI Punjab is all set to host Rajasthan Royals in the 32nd Match of IPL 2019 on April 16. The match will be played at I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali, Chandigarh. The encounter is set to begin at 8:00 PM IST. This is the second match between these two sides. In the previous battle in Jaipur, Kings XI Punjab had beaten Rajasthan Royals by 14 runs. KXIP had batted first and put on a score of 184 runs on the board courtesy of Chris Gayle’s knock of 79. Jos Butler did extremely well to keep RR on the track during the chase with his 69. But it was Butler’s controversial mankading dismissal which started a collapse and Rajasthan ended up losing the match.
Kings XI Punjab is coming into this match after a loss by eight wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Mohali a few days back. Punjab has won four out of their eight matches in this competition. They are currently placed at the fifth position on the points table.
Rajasthan Royals have played seven matches so far and have won only two matches out of them. They are at the seventh position on the points table with only four points. The positive thing for them is the fact that they are coming into this match after a win against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium by four wickets.

KXIP vs RR Pitch Report
Dew has been a consistent factor in all the matches played in Mohali so far. Both teams will look to chase if they win the toss. Spinners will get some help from the surface while it could be a tough job for the pacers to ball with all the dew around.
Jos Butler of RR is coming into this match after scoring a match-winning 89 against Mumbai but KL Rahul has 335 runs in this tournament at an average of 67. He is the second highest run-getter this season and could be a good choice as vice-captain.
Sanju Samson has been a key player for RR this season and also has scored a century. Ajinkya Rahane scored a quick-fire 39 and seemed to have found back his lost touch. Chris Gayle has 322 runs this season and also an unbeaten 99 in the previous match. He is a good choice for the captain.
Krishnappa Gowtham and Ravichandran Ashwin have abilities to bat and bowl in these conditions. The spinning track in Mohali could assist both these players.
Shreyas Gopal and Jaydev Unadkat have been impressive for RR in this tournament so far. Murugan Ashwin, Sam Curran and Mohammad Shami have played key roles for KXIP and picked up regular wickets for the side.
