KTS vs WAR Dream11 Prediction: Placed at the bottom of the table, the Knights now have a bit of work to do to move into the top half of the ladder. In their opening game of the tournament, the Knights were handed a ruthless defeat by Dolphins. Up next in the tournament, the Knights will be up against Warriors, who, too are coming off a heavy defeat. Warriors were defeated by Cape Cobras and though they are just outside of the top-three slots, a loss here would send them crashing to the bottom of the table
Knights failed to chase down a total of 209, which was set by Dolphins while batting first. The loss reminded Knights of their poor run in all the recent editions of Momentum One Day Cup and bouncing back from such a disheartening defeat could be difficult. Apart from PJ van Biljon and W Wakwetu, who scored 26 and 29 respectively, none of the Knights’ batsmen looked comfortable in the middle. Eventually, the Knights were completely decimated for a total of 115 and as many as seven players failed to score even in double figures. Earlier that day, the Knights’ bowlers did a decent job with Shadley van Schalkwyk and Shaun von Berg grabbing figures of 31/2 and 42/2 in their respective overs.
For the Warriors, the match against Cobras didn’t start on a positive note which could have been one of the causes of their faltered exhibition in the previous outing. Bowling first, Cobras posted a total of 274 after laying a solid foundation to launch an ultimate assault. Glenton Stuurman was brilliant at the death and in the powerplay overs. He returned with the impressive numbers as he gave away just 39 runs in his 10 overs and picked up a wicket in the process.
In Cobras’ reply, the Warriors got off to a decent start and looked all set to chase the target down with Rudy Second leading their run-chase. However, there was no support from other ends as all of their batsmen perished after getting starts. Second, who scored 66 off 65 deliveries, was the pick of their batsmen as Warriors eventually lost the match by 31 runs.
